The Caltech Department
of Institute Housing affirms and celebrates the identity of all
individuals and recognizes that the university community is
comprised of students, faculty, and staff who represent diversity on
many levels regarding beliefs, race, social economic status,
ethnicity, gender identity/expression, culture, sexual orientation,
or as differently abled. Institute Housing is dedicated to
supporting all students and any specific needs they may have
regarding their housing experience, while providing residential
environments that honor human diversity and students as individuals.

collaboratively with the Dean of Students Office and the Graduate
Studies Office to comprehensively support students’ needs in their

The Caltech Department

student affairs support services, and invites you to contact the
following departments regarding your student experience outside of
your housing needs:
Caltech
Center for Diversity (CCD)
The Caltech Center for Diversity (CCD)
supports
activities that enhance the inclusion of underrepresented,
underserved and minorities (URM), women and lesbian, gay, bi-sexual,
transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) students in all aspects of
campus life. Additionally, the CCD promotes
and provides access to admission information and campus resources
collaboratively with other student affairs support services (on and
off campus).
International Student Programs (ISP)
ISP supports
international students by providing accurate and timely immigration
advice and advocacy to enable them to achieve their academic and
professional goals. ISP supports international education and the
exchange of ideas through educational, social, and cultural
programs.

Counseling Center
The Caltech Counseling
Center promotes the health of Caltech students in order to improve
the quality of their lives and aid them in achieving academic

psychological health.
